Having the ability to have multiple instances and or projects of band in a box open would be a very handy feature to have implemented. For example many programs like Reaper, Adobe, MS Word, MS Excel and many others have the capability of opening multiple tabs or instances of the program or document or project which make it easy to take/compare information from one project and copy it to another therefore not having to recreate the wheel.
Throughout history one of the most common ways of creating new music is from pre existing ideas. Like "Cantus Firmus" - "an existing melody used as the basis for a polyphonic composition." Mainly implementing this in form of opening multiple projects in seperate TABs like say a Web Browser where you can work with them all simultaneously. All you cool musicians and BIAB lovers out there please support this NEW feature implementation so it has the BEST chance of getting developed into the next patch/version. Please and Thank You!!
You can do that now but you need to open another instance. (as I see Jim has showed) Copy chord from one instance to another has been requested and maybe implemented soon hopefully. At the moment you need to File > Import > Import MGU/SGU Song then select chords number of bars from > to. You can copy paste Audio track sections from one instance to another. You can Drag n Drop Audio/Midi bars or whole track from one instance to another.
