Just a note for some who may be interested:

I am now regularly using B&B as a “plug-in” and transferring tracks (real and instrument wav file generated from midi) into Sonar 8 studio 64bit version (got mine on e-bay). What a fabulous feature this is. I’ve put my Tascam US-144 audio/midi interface into forced retirement and replaced it with a Roland UA-4FX. Everything works great with Vista 64bit. The fidelity I am getting now with the UA-4FX , Sonar and the B&B real and wav generated tracks is absolutely superb fed into an amp and decent set of speakers.

I’m doing a lot of backings for my long time buddy “Hank Marvin –Shadows style” guitarist but we found the echoes in Sonar did not quite cut it for recording (I like to get him to record “dry” because he likes too much echo for my taste).

However, recently I discovered a digital tape echo on the web (GS-201), which looks very much like (and sounds a lot like) the original Roland RE-201 space echo tape unit. Works like a dream as a VST in Sonar with very little CPU overhead and its only 19 Euros!

We love those Stratocaster type and 12 string clean style real tracks Peter and hope to see some more in the next 2010.5/2011 releases. That is, some more different rhythm styles using these instruments. Yes I know the drill - I’ll stick it on the wish list.
