Your take on an everyday saying reminded me of something I read in an essay by Gene Lees in which he points out that Johnny Mercer and Cole Porter used this to get success in so many songs like "Anything Goes", "Just One of Those Things", and "Jeepers Creepers". You have inspired me to think along these lines to get myself out of a couple of "writers blocks" where I can't think of a lyric to go with the music I've written. Thanks for sharing your work! It's great that you've taken that style and updated it to reflect some of the phrases that the younger generation uses.
