Moin,
Hab mir heute Biab installiert, leider läuft bei mir die Midispur nicht synchron mit den Realtracks. d.h. wenn ich eine Melodie für Midi eingebe und das dann abspielen lassen hinkt die Melodie (Midi) Spur nach. Als Beispiel Takt 1, eine einzelne Note auf Schlag 1 wird beim abspielen erst fast auf dem 2 Schlag zu hören sein.
Hat jemand eine Idee voran das liegen könnte?

willkommen im Forum!
Ja, dein Problem hat eine bekannte Ursache, die sogenannte Latenz. Damit ist der Effekt gemeint, dass die Erzeugung von Audiosignalen aus MIDI-Daten etwas Rechenzeit des Prozessors in Anspruch nimmt, je nach Computerleistung mal mehr, mal weniger. Das wird besonders deutlich bei Sounderzeugung "on board".
Das heißt, wenn der entsprechende MIDI-Befehl an die Soundkarte bzw. das Soundmodul auf dem Motherboard geht, dauert es kleinen Moment bis der Klang berechnet und ausgegeben ist. Diese Zeit nennt man Latenz und sie kann zwischen praktisch unhörbaren 1 bis 5 Millisekunden liegen (bei leistungsfähigen Soundkarten oder externen Soundmodulen), aber auch schnell mal ein paar Zehntelsekunden dauern, wenn der Sound nur durch ein Onboardsoundmodul erzeugt wird – und die sind dann deutlich zu hören.
Denn der Klang der Realtracks wird beim Abspielen nicht erst generiert, sondern besteht vorher aufgenommen Audiofiles (WAV) von echten Musikern.
Werden nun beide zusammen eingesetzt kommt es zu den mehr oder weniger hörbaren Zeitverschiebungen.
Um das zu synchronisieren, findest du unter den Optionen - MIDI/Audio-Einstellungen einen Button Latenz anpassen, der mit einem kleinen Testprogramm die LAtenz deines System ermittelt und dann das Realtrack-Signal um die entsprechende Zeit verzögert, damit MIDI und Realtracks zusammenpassen.
Du kannst mit der Verwendung eines alternativen Soundttreibers aber schon einiges gewinnen. Das hängt etwas vom Betriebssystem ab, auf dem du Band in a Box laufen lässt.
Wenn du Windows bis Version 8 verwendest, solltest du statt des Standard-Windows-Soundtreibers besser ASIO4ALL einsetzen, das ist eine schnelle, prozessornahe Schnittstelle, die die Latenz schone rheblich verkürzt.
Seit Windows 10 kannst du auch das neue Microsoft eigene Protokoll WAS verwenden, das die Latenz ebenfalls deutlich reduziert. ASI4ALL kannst du kostenfrei im Internet finden und installieren.
Die dann verwendete Schnittstelle stellst dui ebenfalls in BiaB unter den Audio-Einstellungen ein.
Empfehlenswert ist die Anschaffung einer guten internen oder externen Soundkarte.

Hallo Brille,
Danke für deine Antwort. Musik am PC oder mit dem PC zu machen ist absolut neu für mich. Anfang des Jahres habe ich, wegen Lockdown und Corona, mir einen PC zugelegt. Einfacher PC mit Windows10. Mir ein MotuM2 besorgt und Reaper installiert um weiter mit meinen Bands arbeiten zu können ohne dass wir uns für Proben treffen. Biab hab ich mir jetzt gekauft um mal mit Playalong's üben zu können und auch um meinen Mitmusikern meine eigenen Songideen verständlicher mitzuteilen. Zu meinem Problem, ich hab auch an die Latenz gedacht. Habe dass dann aber verworfen weil es doch eine grosse Verzögerung ist. Ausserdem hab ich ein Häckchen an den Reiter für DXI/VSTI gemacht, und da wird ja die Latenz automatisch angepasst. Scheint aber nicht zu funktionnieren. Wenn ich DXI/VSTI deaktiviere kann ich die Latenz selber einstellen, ist aber ganz schön tricky. Muss mir da etwas Zeit nehmen das dann auch gut zu machen. Ich bin durchaus bereit noch zu investieren, mir fehlt auch eine Klaviertastatur. Zu was würdest du mir denn raten, eine vernünftige Soundkarte, ext. oder int. und einfache Midi-Tastatur oder gib's da noch andere Möglichkeiten? Ist wie gesagt absolutes Neuland für mich.
