I second what guitar hacker is saying. I have used retainer, and about three others that come with other DAWs. Melodyne is head and shoulders above them. I have the latest version with now includes sibilance removal. The other all work to a degree, but Melodyne give spot on control. In my mind it is the best plugin out there for these type issues. I agree completely. I have tried a number of pitch correction programs and Melodyne is the best. Like BiaB the least expensive, $99, monophonic version, Melodyne 5 Essential, works just as good as the more expensive versions, it just lacks the polyphonic options and a number of other bells and whistles. If all you are going to pitch correct are vocals then Essential is all you need.

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
