I apologize if this is poor etiquette ... I tacked these questions on to another thread the other day, but getting no response, I want to bring the questions to the surface.

Proceeding on the sometimes shakey premise that there is 'no such thing as a stupid question,' I must ask ...

1. When 'import' is used in discussions regarding sections of a midi file being entered into a style maker cell, is there actually a way to 'import' sections of a midi file from within BIAB, or does this phrase really just mean: 'copy and paste' into cells?

I can't find anything in the Manual under the stylmaker chapter that describes 'importing,' other than of the entire midi file for part and instrument track selection.

It would certainly be great if you could loop play 1/2, 1 or 2 bar sections of individual tracks and somehow directly 'import' those sections 'track by track' and 'bar by bar' to stylemaker cells ... similarly to how you loop play sections of the over all file to designate parts and fills and can then hit a button and send that section to the appropriate part or fill in the stylemaker wizard window.

2.When doing this in 'copy and paste' fashion, again, can this be done from inside BIAB?

If all the multi-track midi data for an imported file is on the melody track, how do you select the midi notes/ bars just for the track you want to 'copy paste' to the stylemaker, since in the piano roll or notation windows all the data from all the tracks is super imposed on the single melody track?

Thanks.
