I've received a very nice back channel message from Andrew, as politely as possible subtly informing me that my question doesn't make sense ... and explaining why.

My question displayed my lack of proper understanding of the C7 chord structure of the patterns.

Understanding that now, I can say ... "Well, of course there's no way to directly copy/ past midi note data to the stylemaker cells!"

See, there really is no such thing as a 'stupid question,' since it has lead to me learning something important.

However, Andrew did advise me of the option to import patterns from the Melody Track ... which would conceivably do what I'd like to do: increase the number of cells for a part with compatible, but unique patterns.

I actually also thought of a work around. In Cubase (and I suppose in many other DAWS) you can manipulate midi data on a track to force everything to only play notes in a specific key. You can then 'render' the midi data so that the data in the track is replaced by the key filtered data. You can then filter out specific notes or ranges and do the same 'render' again.

What would you have? It could be a midi track with only C7 chord structure. Now ... presuming BIAB will accept the Cubase midi note data ... you could copy from Cubase and paste that data into BIAB stylemaker cells directly. Voila! You can easily make different bar length or note arrangement/ duration patterns in Cubase to fill the stylemaker cells.

I sure hope this will work!
