Hello
I have updated my 2020 version to the 2021 PlusPak + Bonus 49Pak the install went OK but when I thry to launch BIAB 2021 when everything has been installed I got the 2021 logo showing and after 2 or 3 seconds it desapear
I am on Desktp PC using I9880H processor and 32Go of Ram and Win Pro edition my audio interface is RME Fireface UFX
any idea ??
Before upgrading the 2020 which was installed previously was working fine so ?

Hi,
With your 2020 version, did you run that from the hard drive of your computer or from a PG Music USB drive?
If you ran it from a USB drive, did you install the PlusPak and Bonus Material to the USB drive?

Are you using the 32-bit version? Try the 64-bit version
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Slate VSX, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

Hi,
I had the same problem.. I use a external usb sound card system "Presonus audiobox USB 96"
That was the problem for me, it worked perfectly with 2020 version but not at all with 2021 version.
What I did: went to BB / Preferences/ found intrface.bbw file renamed it intrfaceold.bbw and run biab again... all personnal config is loste but the program is starting.. could only work with asio for all or "WAS" configuration..
A bug that will be fixed I hope in next patch.

This has also been reported. There is something about some choices of audio driver, as you say.

MME worked fine for me but if I tried ASIO BIAB 2021 crashed consistently. Yes, I too am using PreSonus AudioBox 22 VSL. I updated the PreSonus software this morning but it did not help.

Deb, look at post above.
Start BIAB in MME or Wasapi, with ASIO interface disconnected. Change driver setting in BIAB to ASIO (with actual interface still disconnected) Close out of BIAB. Connect interface. Launch BIAB. See, if it resolves.

This did not work for me. I even completely removed any interface from windows (uninstalled etc.) I do not have any interface connected to the computer at all and it still just exits out of splash screen. I can never get into BIAB to change driver settings to anything.
My wife asked if I had seen the dog bowl. I told her I didn't even know he could.

No luck here. I did send the error message to support just now. So, we'll see what happens.

My installation is on an internal M2 NVMe drive and bb folder is at the root of the drive. I am running the 64 bit version on a new PC where the 2020 version was installed and was working fine.
To remove the preferences is what has been suggested by the PG Music support but I have lost all my favorites styles and why the thousands of style not sure If I will start to build the Favorite Styles another time.
Now as some of you I have tried to select my RME Fireface UFX ASIO driver but it crashed BB2021 each time I have an access violation message in module bbw64.exe
I cannot get out of the program and I need to make a Ctrl+alt+suppr to get the Task manager to stop BIAB 2021
I think this release is too buggy and I will go back to the 2020 version until this is sorted

Some users are experiencing issues using ASIO in Band-in-a-Box and RealBand 2021 - we are working on it, but for now try switching your driver type to WAS. This should offer roughly the same performance as ASIO.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track.
