JJJ, It has some shortcomings, but it works just fine. Process is not hard, especially to people who familiar with BIAB. I believe you are underestimating many PG users. I met some very talented folks here on the forum that could surely do fantastic User Tracks. I had a flute player record a short track for me that I decided to make into a User track. If you want it, take Pipeline's version in middle of the page, he fixed it the right way: https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=609080#Post609080P.S. On a side note. There was a user Sergio, that done some drum tracks and sold them as packs, reasonably. Unfortunately he is not participating any longer, but I was lucky to talk with him and buy his drum packs, which are VERY usable.
