"Soul of a Man" - So sometimes you write a song that really comes from within. It's not a Pop, Soul, RnB, or Reggae song. It's just a song. The sort of song that writes itself. This song is just that type of song for me. It just wrote itself. Irrespective of the music, performance or anything I hope the message resonates with ya ! If it does Please Share ! Thanks

The Video Link is even better and it has the lyrics scrolling through the video:

Style: BallP16.sty 16th Pop Rock Ballad
Of course with my compositions a host of other instruments changed/added.

Systmes: My typical BIAB 2020, Tascam DP-32 for vocals, Cakewalk Sonar for Mixing, M-Audio MIDI Synth for additional strings.

Very pleasing listen..I especially liked your spoken interlude near the end, very effective. Vocal harmonies and backing real smooth, and some interesting/unexpected chord changes to maintain interest. I saw the comment recommending that your vocal be more out front—interested in your concept around how you placed it. Great work and a timeless message.

Outstanding, Henry. Simply outstanding. Love the sentiment in this well crafted piece. Dang, that video is superb. Yes, let's get that message out there. Reduce all the nonsense to what truly matters.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Cool!
When I read the title, I thought this was a cover of "What is the soul of a man" by Blind Willie Johnson, a classic blues song.
Check it out if you've not heard it.

Well, you've created a classic of your own.
I like the message, the lyrics the band, the vocals and the video.
Nice song!

Although I really like this, I feel compelled to make a few recommendations.
-Lead vocal was a little too far back in the mix, maybe just the amount of reverb?
-Backing vocals punch out a bit too much at times.

Good One!

Moto, appreciate the kind words and comment but one thing about me is that once the song is done it's done. This one is in the can and out the door available now on all major platforms. Too late to do any remixing. I will definitely consider your valuable input in my next release. Thanks again. Henry

Hi Tano. I appreciate your comments. My vocal placements are always focused on how the music sounds on mobile devices. I tend to place and mix based on how the song sounds on cell phones and car stereo. If I get something that I like I tend to go with that (even though sometimes I hate it afterwards) :-) I think trying to mix for all possible devices is tuff. I've viewed so many YouTube videos on this problem and even they can't agree. I guess I just go with what I think will work. This probably doesn't help but that's actually how I approach it. Thanks again. Cheers.

Very cool tune. Loved the effects on the vocal. Maybe could be brought forward a bit. Well done

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
