I assume from the thread title that you are referring to RB2021.
If so. I can confirm that, for me, the space bar starts playback, but the dash behaves correctly.
RealBand 2021 - 1, run as Admin
Vintage Hey my friend! Good to hear from you! Interesting to note that on two separate occasions trying to type a dash in the comments window resulted in a change of project tempo. But today it ain't happening. On either computer where I have RB 2021 installed. However, if I try to type an R, the active track starts to Record. Not sure how many other single letter hotkeys there are, but the main take-away here is that the hotkeys procedure needs to deactivate when the comments window is in focus.
