Hot stuff. I appreciate the humor.
Enjoyable and fun listen. More cowbell please! Hi Ezekiel, Many thanks for the review. I only added the cowbell after Eddie sent me the third verse! Maybe I should have let it run on! Cheers, ROG

Well, just to prove how non-pro my ears are, I though the horns worked really well. But sometimes, hyper-realism isn't what's called for. There is something odd at 3:13, but only noticeable because it's so exposed. Same things with the drums - pretty trashy and lo-fi, but what I'd expect in a blues song. But it's blues! So I'm happy.

Hi Rob, I added the "BIG" to the Black Dog to differentiate from the Led Zep song, plus all the others with a similar title. Glad you enjoyed this one. Cheers, ROG

ROG,
That’s some killer blues right there. The “horns” sound great and the guitar solo slays. Real fine work, gentlemen.
Best regards,
Deej Hi Deej, Many thanks - that's very kind and much appreciated. Cheers, ROG

As a couple of folks who frequently post shuffle blues (like our latest) it was easy to slide into this one. We love the blues and especially a good ole shuffle.
Eddie was channelling a bit of Mr. Wolf on this one!
Nice performances on all of the instruments guys.
Enjoyed it you two. It was udderly good.
J&B
Hi there J&B, Always appreciate a review from you. Yeah, a shuffle blues is always acceptable - I just wish I could sing them like Janice! Glad you enjoyed this one. Many thanks, ROG.

Good 'old-school' blues - my favourite genre.
"...but Eddie must take the credit (blame?) for the pun in verse three."
Most definitely 'blame'. ha ha. Hi Chris, Many thanks for the kind review. Old-school blues is what I grew up listening to and still one of my favourites too. Cheers, ROG

Excellent blues, guys. Given the title I was expecting quite a serious tune about depression, so was a little surprised by the whimsical third verse. Nice pun, though. Regards, Leon Hi Leon, Glad you liked our "whimsical" blues - my wife won't let me write serious songs! Many thanks for looking in. Cheers, ROG.

Liked the energy and the horns. Heard the cow bell, maybe shoulda played it when you were singing about the cow! ; ) Great job all the way around! HI TM, You're absolutely right about the cowbell - should've been in the cow verse. Another opportunity missed! Many thanks for the review. Cheers, ROG

Rog & Eddie,
no doubt there's nothing like a big fat blues shuffle - and this one is truely one of that kind - just love.
Great vocal, Eddie, nice horns - super-cool stuff !!!
Take care,
Stefamn Hi Stefan, Thanks for the very kind comments - much appreciated. Cheers, ROG

Udderly amazing, ROG & Eddie. Man, I'm gonna have to try to get back my ESQ-1 from the guy who borrowed it 8 years ago. Well built blues, and a fun run. Hi Marty, Thanks for the positive review - from a blues man like yourself it's very welcome. Cheers, ROG

Hi David, Yes indeed, hyper-realism isn't always the best thing for every occasion. Some of our drum samples started out as 8bit, but I still like to use them for some applications. The same with the horns which I imagine are 8bit as well. Many thanks for looking in on this one. Cheers, ROG.
