Thank you.

Did you try PianoPete's idea about right-clicking on BIAB selecting "Run as administrator"? He said it worked for him.

Noel, yes.
BIAB is set to run as admin. And for the testing, I did through the right click as well. Same issue.
Third person reported it.

Strange, I actually did two things, deleted intrface.bbw and restarted BIAB as admininstrator.
Before that I had the same issues.
Now I start BIAB as usual (not as admin)
Have you tried 32-bit BIAB?

Pete....
Thanks for trying. Deleting interface did not work.
I see no reason to run 32bit (and hopefully never will)

So here is updated list of things tried:

Opening a "new" file does not solve this.
Resetting to factory (full) does not fix it as well.
Reinstalling latest Patch (804) does not do it either.
deleting intrface.bbw

What else is there to try?

bumping this thread and a question.
"Removing a audio plugin because this track no longer outputs audio"
Still persist on every regeneration.

Opening a "new" file does not solve this.
Resetting to factory (full) does not fix it as well.
Reinstalling latest Patch (804) does not do it either.
deleting intrface.bbw does not help.
Setting file to "run as admin" and right clicking "run as admin" do not solve this.

I have an idea, but hoping someone can help. Is there a way to disconnect all Audio plugins PG and non PG through the whole program to test if it is something related to actual plugin or code debris? Or some of these are program core things?

Thank you!

RustySpoon#,

Does the error message happen when you load specific song files into the program?

Does the error message appear after you perform a specific action?

Do you get the yellow audio error message every time you open the program?

Does the error message always mention the same track (track 7) or does the track bounce from track to track?

In your song file do you have a mixture of PG Music created audio (RealTracks) and third party audio (VSTi, DXi, midi soft synth, UserTrack, audio you import and so on)?

Please post a screen shot of the program audio settings.

I realize I've asked a lot of questions. I don't have any guesses at what the error message means other than I believe the program is picking up an audio discrepancy somewhere.

Jim,
Thank you for trying.

Happens every time I start program. Any random style on every regeneration.
Attachment is MPEG of what I see when I start the program. Randomly picking styles, so you can see how and when it occurs.

Since, I have done "Return to Factory- full" It should have taken out all previous project residue. In any case, I do not have any specific User Tracks or such for this test.

There are whole bunch of Audio VSTs present in the list, but I assume list was populated automatically. None are specifically selected in the mixer.

My idea was.. if there is a way to exclude all plugins from BIAB to see if it is an actual plugin that is causing this or coding error.

Other thoughts: On a custom project, I have seen same error on track (31)!!! But in all other cases it is track (7) Please note, on in split of a second between 24-25 seconds "Soloist" track flashes an instrument... Soloist is track #7... Just guessing here.

Make sure that "none" is not selected as your 'Default synth'... You can do this via Options | driver setup | VSTi/DXi synth. e.g. select Coyote Wavetable. This may fix it.

Also to answer a previous question - the settings files for plugins are now found here: \bb\DX Settings\plugin_list_*

There are several files - exclude lists, 64bit / 32bit / VST / VSTi etc. You can view them with a text editor.

Andrew,
Thank you!
YES! That was it! Default was set to "NONE". As soon as I set it to Halion, popup went away.

----
I will mark this Resolved. But perhaps this pop up message should say something about a "default" synth in there instead of message it displays? Or respect user selection if it chosen "none" for default?
Here is example of why one would not want a default synth full time. Halion does not allow 2 instances. So a DAW + BIAB both loaded with Halion will not work simultaneously. One instance will have to be unloaded and most likely it will be the one in BIAB.

Got carried away with test driving new 2021 features, forgot to add default synth smile

I'm glad the issue was resolved. Andrew to the rescue once again! I like your suggestion for the warning message to be reworded. Make the suggestion in the Wishlist section of the forum, link back to this thread and I will gladly support the suggestion.

Has this thread been open so long the Resolved button disappeared from your initial post? The button was originally enabled for just a few days but I thought forum moderators extended the time out to a few weeks.
