I've also been using the Preferences/Channels area to work around both of the issues I've mentioned.

1.) Melody track resets to channel zero on each Chord Area MIDI drag/drop op. (since BB 2021-v808 only).

2.) Piano track not remembering its custom assignment on each BB startup (for many BB versions).

The Piano track issue is a smaller irritant because it requires manual resets on program startups only. (Its custom assignment is remembered during each session.)

However, the Melody track issue is a bigger irritation because every drag/drop op performed on the Chord Area requires a manual reset in order to restore sound on that track. (This happens all session, each session.)

Workarounds are good temporary solutions for problems but a "fix" that restores or improves the original design is the thing for which I'm hoping. Team PG Music rocks!
