Hi folks,

I accidentally created a vocal sound I want to explore more. I also hear it in some JJ Cale songs and ZZ Top's - I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide (maybe) as an example. It may be that the vocal track is duplicated and slightly offset to create a bit of a hollow depth or resonance (maybe some reverb added) that has a layed-back kind of cool. haha if that describes it well

Anyways, if you know what I am trying to get at, I would like to learn some mixing details on how to create. I typically record vocals in Garageband. If it is a duplicated track that is offset...would like to get some practical tips without going thru the motions of reinventing the wheel.

from what i have tried there is a sweet spot around a duplicated vocal with a 0.013 second offset

Happy Holidays
