OK, Been having a BLAST with the new 2010 BB, very few problems, and LOTS of style to play with....BUT have a problem this morning.  All of a sudden BB can not find it's font for the notation. So, being the smart guy I am I did a search, no such item on the system...What?! It was there last night! So I figure I will just pull out the HDD and pull it back off that & place it in right place....but where is it? I just spent 3 hours looking thru EVERY folder on the HDD and I did not see an install program, or even a TTF font file anywhere.. Does anyone know where it is located?  A search on here just tells me to update & reload.....I REALLY don't want to reload just for the font, it is working to good to mess with it!  Does anyone got any ideas, and Thanks in advance!

You should find it in the Windows/Fonts folder on your boot drive.
There are several such PG Music font files that need to be there for all parts of BIAB to work correctly.
On my system, I have:
Pgchords.ttf
Pgjazz_.ttf
Pgjazz__.ttf
pgmus.ttf
pgmus_0.ttf
Pgtext.ttf
Pgtextj.ttf
Pgtextj_.ttf
Pgtextj_0.ttf
Pgtextje.ttf
I do not know how many of these are currently required, and how many, if any, may be carried over from earlier versions.

I have XP (2) - I did a search out of curiosity and 'Search' did not find the pgmus.ttf or other pg*.ttfs in the Windows/Fonts directory. But did find pgmus.ttf in PowerTracks and RealBand directories, but nothing in the BB directory. Wow. Love consistency.  Ian

Thanks, Ian. As I say, don't go by my installation, since it dates way back. Also, it might be possible to have these font files on the same drive as BIAB. I imagine it must be so, for those folks who run it all from an external drive. So, perhaps the program searches for fonts there, and if it does not find them, goes to the Windows Fonts folder.
I'm running Windows 7, but if I recall correctly, the font files have been in C:/Windows/Fonts for some years.
If nothing else works and you can get the missing font file, copy it to your boot drive Windows/Fonts folder and execute it. That will install the font.

Thanks for the quick responses folks! Ian Fraser, I will go back a double check those folders. The problem is that there are NO PGxxx.ttf fonts ANYWHERE on my system, and I can not find them on the external HDD either.... I am just wondering if they are compressed into the Install routine, instead of just sitting in their on folder or files space... Off to look again, and again, Thanks for the help!

OK, I went back and looked in the RB folder on my system drive, and no fonts....BUT they were in the RB folder on the external HDD. There I found.... pgchords pgjazz__ pgmus pgtext pgtextj_ pgtextje So I copied them over to the windows Font folder, rebooted, and I now have my notation back....way cool! *** Thanks again for the tip Ian!
