This grief about software getting more complicated over the years you see everywhere.
I spent about 3/4 year away from BIAB, and feel like a noob again.

I bought Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Premiere a while ago and never upgraded since they moved to an only online working version, quite expensive BTW.
Stuck with the already complicated older versions and got quite familiar with them, and each time i still discover new tricks.

The problem is probably that software sellers need to sell updates to stay alive, and marketing forces them to add more stuff called 'NEW'.
I know a lot of professionals who explicitly stick with a version of a DAW or Video program they know well just to be able to work fast.
