I love them both.
BIAB is great for getting a song progression up quick and dirty. And I totally love the Melodist option. It's so nice to have another guy onboard throwing progressions at the wall to see what sticks. I see myself using this feature tons both in BIAB and also importing the progressions to RealBand.
RealBand, I can't say enough. It seems a truly awesome marriage of DAW and sequencer. I've struggled with many famed DAWs for years and have been frustrated with excessive complications that drained my creative energy. Not here with RealBand. It's been a breeze to bring my ideas to the tracks.
I think I've found my home here with BIAB and RealBand.

Hi Jim, It's going to take me awhile to get familiarized with the platform and over the learning curve. But I'm really excited about how intuitive these two programs feel to me and I'm highly motivated. Thanks for alerting me to the User Showcase. I wasn't aware of it. I'm definitely going to check out the content. It will be great to hear what the musicians on this forum are doing with BIAB and RealBand. I'm sure I'll be inspired. Ha ha, if I get brave enough to post one of my own babies I hope the critics will be forgiving  !! Happy New Years to you and yours. Hopefully 2021 will be a better year than this one  !!

You'll find the User Showcase is just that, a place of encouragement and to showcase your progress throughout your musical journey. It's not a critics corner by a long shot.
