Band-in-a-Box has a rule to, whenever possible, not duplicate audio in different tracks. In practical terms what that means is if you select the same RealTrack twice, Band-in-a-Box will try very hard for the two tracks to play the same audio. For example, if you have two strumming guitars playing a G major chord one might be a barre chord while the other is an open chord. Of course, when the quantity of audio material is limited, overlaps are bound to happen.
