I've experienced that with guitar tracks, just didn't know it was a rule. What I'm asking about is a bit different - almost the opposite. If I build a 3 part horn section in the Medley dialog (see image), will those have phrasing that is more compatible with each other, versus if I put each 1TrackHornSection horn on a separate Utility track? Now that we have plenty of Utility tracks, I'll always prefer to have each instrument on a separate track (for DAW mixing/EQ purposes) unless there's special behavior attached to these type RealTracks under certain circumstances that would yield a better arrangement.

I did also play around a bit with some of the Horn Section realtracks that ARE NOT tagged as 1TrackHornSection. I got some pretty good results with track 3525 "Horn Section, Background BossaLounge2-partUnison Ev 140". However, I took the suggestion in the track notes - "Try it with the new thickening feature to get a larger, fuller sound!", but when I duplicated it even once, I ended up with a mess - the parts did not mesh together well at all - lots of dissonance. I would have preferred if thickening had meant some slight detuning and panning/tone to give a thicker/richer set of tracks playing essentially the same part.
