No YouTube vid yet.

In 2 weeks it will be a year since my first post here. Man, those songs sounded so bad. Reading all your comments on mine and others' posts has taught me so much. Thank you all!! Now when the song sounds bad, it's just because it is, not because it was presented so poorly.

Use Me

The night is taken by somebody else.
My heart is aching. I'm all by myself.
So if you want someone to use, baby, use me.

Our time is wastin', so give me a sign.
Your love is chasin' a feeling like mine.
So when you think of who to choose, baby, use me.

CH: Cuz I don't mind being used. Sometimes I like it.
Oh, no, I don't mind being used. There's times I even I like it.
I'm just waitin' here to hear you say I'm gonna lose my blues today. SOLO

The night has taken its final turn,
and dawn is breakin' my heart. It burns.
Ah, honey, don't just light the fuse, but, baby, use me.

Chw/
Well, when it comes to pick and choose,
oh, honey, don't just light the fuse.
Yeah, baby, think of what you'd lose if you don't use me.
Baby, use me.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Marty ...

Great song and presentation! And, I don't think your earlier posts were bad ... not even slightly. But, as we move through more and more of BIAB's toys, the more we learn what's possible.

Love the song. And that bass line is rock solid. Love everything about it. Your vocal is just right and the backing tracks do exactly what they should. Nicely done, my friend! Keep up the great work!

Wishing you the very best in 2021.

A good loose blues Marty. Love the attitude in the lyrics, the harp and your gravelly vocal... reminds me of the Dead`s Pigpen taking their sound into a bluesy jam direction occasionally.

Hello Marty. Great band choice.
Very well done on the production.
I really enjoyed the rhymes.
Some times it too easy to fall back on the same old words
For rhyming.Great job.

Marty,

Classic blues right out of the gate. Slick write, nice use of rhyme throughout, and a nice, nice hook. Terrific production—it all sounds good to my ears. Vocal and harmonica in particular jump out as sitting in exactly the right place they need to be in the mix. Great work!

My best to you,

Deej

A bass lead blues..cool.
GREAT bass playing and tone.
I think it could be eased back into the song a little though.
There are some odd clicks in the mix...a little like an insecure cable at 2.06 for example.
There was a little old man whistle in the 1st verse but you warmed up after that.
A FUN and well performed song.
Cool.

Cheers

Marty,

Nice work - good bluesy vocal and quality bass playing.

The band plays along nicely (the harmonica player is a little frenetic at times)and it all flows really well.

Enjoyed it.

A standard blues with nice lyrical hook and "don't just light the fuse" is a great line.
Great work with your voice, nice spoken shouts give live feel and the rising ending works well. I really missed pub sounds, the clapping crowd and cheers at the end smile
