Band-in-a-Box VST and Pro Tools/AAX DAW Plugin (Windows)

I have never used Ableton mostly I use Studio one, and Logic X. In both of those I can save the file and the plugin retains its tracks and setup.
Usually you have to reopen the plugin when the song file is reopened after it is closed.
In studio one you click the instrument icon on the instrument track containing the BiaB plugin. In Logic I click the instrument in the instrument track info pane.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
