thanks a lot for your suggestion. Unfortunately, I didn't achieve the results I want to have. Basically my problem can be summed up with the fact, that the beat duration of the song stays 1/4 (quarter note) after importing a midi from a 6/8 song. BiaB 2020 somehow "automagically" took this into account when importing such a midi file, BiaB 2021 does not. In other words, the song is slower than it should be.

Something must have changed in the new version. To underline this, I attached 2 images of the piano roll window. In both cases, the same midi file has been imported. The first image shows the import with BiaB 2020, the second image shows the import with BiaB 2021.

Because my midi comes from a notation tool (Finale), the only way to overcome this problem I can see at the moment is to replace the 6/8 time signature in Finale with 2/4 or 4/4 time signature and convert the note values to triplet notation before exporting the midi file. Then the tempo of the notes should be correct in BiaB too.
