I'm consistently experiencing problems with the CONSOLIDATE AUDIO REGION command. After making a lot of cuts and slides, when I try to consolidate, parts of the audio just disappear. Sometimes it takes the form of the left channel part of a stereo track vanishes and the right half remains. Sometimes just random segments vanish. Its gotten to where I have to avoid this command entirely. Here's a visual: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hlk9ts1offorgd4/consolidate%20audio%20region%20problem.mp4?dl=0For a while, saving the project and starting fresh would let it work.. but the example in the video was the first thing I did after starting RB and opening that project. It happened consistently after multiple re-starts, which is why I was able to capture it on video. Fortunately exporting the track to an audio file then importing it again is an alternative way of getting a contiguous audio track... but this is such an important command, I really need it to work. Has anybody else seen this? If not maybe its this computer.

FWIW, I tried to replicate and couldn't After initiating the Consolidate process, I see a wheel spin momentarily, indicating it is working I notice in your video this doesn't seem to occur, weird.
Are there multiple Events on the track before trying? (hover over left track icon for a second to reveal) You can also see multiple events in the Event List for an audio track
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!

I'll check on the next track. That one has already been deleted. But it shouldn't take long to find a new one to check since 100% of the time It does this lately.

OK, tested on a new project. After editing (ie. highlighting and sliding audio) there is an audio event for each detached snippet of audio in the track. The track in the video probably had 60 or more audio events because it had been substantially edited. As a test, I made just a few edits to a test track and it consolidated as expected. So maybe it becomes problematic when the number of events exceeds some threshold? By the way, thanks for all the help you offer to this group Bob.

I have no idea if "it becomes problematic when the number of events exceeds some threshold?"
I'd guess that threshold would vary from system to system, and how you have things configured.
As default, RB/PT uses a Temp area of the C: drive ... I always make a point of pointing my Temp Audio directory to somewhere I define instead, and if possible, a separate internal drive.
Edits and incoming recorded audio use that drive .. and it gets cleaned up at end of session. So it reads the file from one drive and writes incoming audio to another this way. Separate Read/Write drives.
Prefs - Audio - Temp Audio directory setting.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!
