Bob, my guess is the open mic nights will come back at some point because the bar makes money off having more people. I always had fun when I got to play in the UK. I can't sing worth a damn but as I was born in Texas I don't have to work very hard to put on a real redneck Texas accent...lol

Depending on what city you are in here in the USA open mic nights can be a pretty big deal for the bar. The open mic thing is a great place to meet new musicians and in some cities a place to get to play with some really famous people.
