bobcflatpicker Veteran Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 4,251 WV, USA	I view open mic as just a variation of playing a few songs for friends. It's just different because instead of friends it might be strangers listening. This whole thing of insisting that only "professionals" are allowed to play for people is ridiculous. Since my main public playing experience is from bluegrass, it's pretty common to pass around instruments and encourage others to play a song or two.
