Thanks for sharing! Lots of classics in here, many which I'm surprised are 50 years old! Some of my personal favourites are on this list...What's Going On, Tago Mago, Led Zep 4, Just As I Am, Songs of Love & Hate...I guess it was a good year for music and I never knew  Looking forward to delving into some of the others on the list I'm unfamiliar with.

When I see something like this I always reflect on when I bought the albums upon first release. If at that point I reflected back 50 years many folks were still playing cylinders and artists were singing through megaphones. Yeah I'm old.

Albums are all very well, but most of us started with singles - 7 inch 45s. My very first was Sam Cooke Twisting the night Away. Released in 1960. and much much later a staple of my band's repertoire!

I started buying the Elvis album Golden Records in 1958. I paid $4 for it that was the entire amount I made working every day after school and all day Saturday bagging groceries. My mother told me it was a waste of money and that nobody would ever hear about that guy again. Bud Back in the day when albums were $4 I would walk into a record store, remember those, and walk out with 4 or 5 new albums just about every other week. Those weeks were pay days! I ruined my Chuck Berry albums trying to learn his licks!
