Thanks John for your detail, and I am certainly not surprised that I'm the only one facing these challenges. Yes, there is randomness when revisiting the MIDI Style Picker, which I also cannot figure out, and 'maddingly inconsistent' is an ideal phrase to use to describe this operation. I think that the Red Mute issue is resolved in a later release, but I'm not sure which one. I've witnessed it also. There's a thread about this issue here. I have escalated the Style Picker item to the Developers and also emailed the issue to PG Music Support. I feel there are multiple operational issues with this functionality.

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track.
