Dear Forum Friends, Sorry for the long absence from the forum. Life has been pretty busy this past year. That's why we decided to write a New Year's Eve song to help get things started on the right foot. Yes, I know it's February. Like I said, it's been pretty busy lately. This sounds about as good as any New Years song I've heard - better than any I can think of. You nailed the happy, spirited feel. The horns wree a real nice choice. And like David, I really enjoyed the wide-panned vocal bursts. Cool, castchy song. Really nice!

Alan, Thank goodness all my friends and family are well and doing fine. I hope the same for you. This pandemic teleworking routine doesn't leave much time for music. My wife and collaborator suggested a New Year's Eve song. Although I like "Old Lang Syne" and "What are you Doing New Year's Eve" I always thought we needed something more joyful, optimistic, and celebratory. I used the horns as homage to those old tunes.

Liked your creative use of the C-F two-chord motif.
Nice, positive message--I like that!
I think you're a keyboard player, and I was interested that on your bridge you took the Ab-->Bb-->Gm, C route...something that seems very natural on a keyboard, maybe not so much on a guitar.
I'll echo all the comments on the vocal panning, nice effect.
