Using VST to export MIDI cures the problem - thank you.
Seems strange that something that previously worked perfectly doesn't do so now, but easy enough to use VST instead of 'Drag'n'Drop'.
Situation is similar to problem I had exporting chords a while back where another BIAB user suggested using VST export, which also worked fine. Perhaps using VST will be my 'go-to' remedy in future should there be problems!
