Thank you so much for listening and the great feedback - I have made a couple of changes as suggested to the .mp3 file version at the link www.djhsongs.co.uk/osl-idontmind.

Very very nice job on the drums. A fine vocal performance. Looking forward to hearing more like this

Thanks Marty, hopefully you didn't get indigestion :-) I'd certainly like to do at least another one in this style with the same singer in the not too distant future.

Not only did you do all the right stuff with BIAB to make the song exciting, but your choice to use FIVVER to acquire some kick @$$ female vocals was spot-on! I can't think of a single change that would make this better. No wait, I'd like it better if it was MY song... but that doesn't count. This is all you, my friend! Good job! MORE, please!

Thanks Pat, Fivver is great - I did advertise for a Blondie style singer with this one and Angela was easily the best out of the 12 - 15 or so responses I got. I'm hoping to get a Leonard Cohen sounding singer next so hopefully Fiverr will deliver again.

That's such a compliment, thank you :-)

Yep.... That's a nice rocker

Thanks Herb, really glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks Scott, the original ballad version didn't have an intro so it's great that this one just seems to work.

Thanks Alan, it did take a bit of time but was definitely worth it - and I too am smiling, thanks :-)

A couple of things I notice - the vocal level is down on the 1st few syllables of the song...it'd be worth bring them up to increased the impact.
The backing harmony vocal/counter melody is a bit airy, way off on it's own & quiet...at 1st I thought my wife was talking to me. After replaying that section and focusing it began to take my attention away from the main vocal. I reckon you should experiment with other placements and levels...maybe just 20% off centre so that it relates to the main a little better.
The Terrific job editing the guitar solo parts and the drums - cool song.

Thanks Rayc, I have now adjusted the backing vocal as suggested. I also went back to the original vocal file and used the compressor in Audacity instead of Reaper which I think has helped the level.

I'm pretty pleased with the editing but so thankful for the sounds to work with :-)

Thanks Marty, I have nudged the vocal up a tad as well as the compression.

Thanks Muso, she's Italian though I don't think you can tell from her singing voice.

Thanks Josie, I did ponder a fade out initially but fortunately decided against it.

Everything about this sounds good - vocals, arrangement, mix.

Fun listen! smile

Thanks David, it's great to get confirmation from other musicians - pride before a fall and all that :-)

Thanks Ezekiel, you should definitely give it a go, there's some great singers on there and there's nothing like hearing your song brought to life by someone else - if it works! I've had mainly good experiences though.

Thanks Mario, glad you liked it. I was a drummer originally so I like to think I can still get into that mindset :-)

Many thanks again for listening,
All the best,
David
