Hallo,
Ich habe einen Rechner mit 2 Betriebssystemen,(win7 und win 10). Habe mein Biab 2021 unter Win 7 aktiviert.Muss ich es in Win 10 neu aktivieren, oder reicht es wenn eine Verknüpfung anlege? Biab liegt für beide Systeme auf der selben Partition. Kann das leider nicht mit dem Support regeln,da mein englisch zu schlecht ist. Vielleich weiss ja hier jemand Bescheid.

BiaB schreibt nichts in eine 'Registry'. Es sollte daher egal sein, von welchem Betriebssystem das Programm aufgerufen wird. Einfach ausprobieren und unter 'Help / About-Band-in-a-Box' nachschauen, ob das Programm sich irgendwie beschwert . . .

Danke Martin,
habs ausprobiert.Biab startet unter Win 10 ohne meckern,aber unter Hilfe steht dann da
"30 Tage Aktivierung".Diese Meldung kommt nur,wenn ich unter Hilfe nachsehe.Ist aber schon seit einigen Tagen so,es ändern die Tage sich nicht.Habe versucht es mit den Daten von Win 7 zu aktivieren,hat nicht geklappt.Es liegt auch eine andere Request Nummer vor.Vielleicht liegt es daran das Windows 10 auf einer anderen SSD liegt,und ich keinen Windows Bootmanager benutze,sondern die Start-Platte vom Bootmenü des Mainboards aufrufe.Werde es mal im Auge behalten.

Das klingt eigenartig. Dass Windows 10 auf einer anderen SSD liegt, sollte nichts ausmachen. BiaB kommt mit *einer* Registrierungsnummer. Was ist denn eine 'andere Request Nummer'? Grundsätzlich sind Registrierungen möglich auf ca. 3 unterschiedlichen Computern. Bei einer Registrierung wird eine Datei 'bb2021_full.Ticket' im BiaB Installationsverzeichnis angelegt. Diese Datei enthält eine Reihe unleserlicher Ascii Zeichen. Es ist nicht ausgeschlossen, dass in dieser Datei irgendwie Bezug genommen wird auf das Betriebssytem, unter dem die Registrierung vorgenommen wurde. Dann liefert ein Aufruf des Programms von einem anderen Betriebssystem möglicherweise irgendwelche kryptischen Anmerkungen, wie "30 Tage Aktivierung" etc.
Der von dir geschilderte Anwendungsfall kommt so selten vor, dass die PG Music Leute daran sicher gar nicht gedacht haben. Als Modus Operandi bleibt einfach eine Beobachtung des Verhaltens. Wenn unter Windows 10 hartnäckig nach etwa 30 Tagen eine Registrierung verlangt wird und Funktionen eingeschränkt werden, wäre es sinnvoll, den Support zu kontaktieren - ggf. via Google Translate . . .
Bis dahin besteht durchaus die Möglichkeit, dass eine Registrierung weiterhin nicht verlangt wird und die 30 Tage unter Windows 10 ad infinitum stehen bleiben.
Eine andere, möglicherweise einfachere, Vorgehensweise wäre es, BiaB unter Windows 7 zu 'de-registrieren' und unter Windows 10 einfach neu zu registrieren - unter der Annahme, dass BiaB standardmäßig unter Windows 10 aufgerufen werden soll und die Windows 7 Partition/Festplatte lediglich für irgendwelche Windows 10 inkompatible Legacy Anwendungen gebraucht wird.

Hi Martin,
kommt mir auch ein bischen spanisch vor, bisher hat alles geklappt so la la(BiaB einmal abgeraucht,Plugin out of Sync).Möglich das es an Windows 1o(1909) liegt. Hab schon mehrere
komische Dinger mit Win 10 erlebt.Mit Windows 7 eigentlich soweit ok.
Die Request Nummer spielt eine Rolle bei der Offline-Registrierung,(meine DAW kommt mir nicht ins Internet) ,wird wohl aus der Hardware des Rechners generiert.Man gibt die Seriennummer und diese Requestnummer im Chat durch,dann kriegst du den Aktivierungscode,gibst das in BiaB ein und fertig.
Hab nochmal spasseshalber BiaB 2020 unter Win 7 und Win 10 gestartet (behalte immer die letzte Version auf ner anderen Partition,falls was abraucht), keine Probleme beide Betriebssysteme sagen unter Hilfe,sie wären aktiviert.Hmm sehr,sehr euer Merkwürden :-).
BiaB ist nun mal zu komplex,vernünftig zu produzieren ist ohne DAW nicht möglich.
Musste Windows 10 installieren weil Studio One 5 nicht mehr unter Windows 7 läuft.
Werde die ganze Sache im Auge behalten.
Mit dem Support und Google Translator ist das so eine Sache.Habe bei meinem Upgrade das
49 PAK 1 und versehentlich das MultiStyle Pak 1 gekauft,welches im 49PAK enthalten ist.
Am 04.01.2021 gekauft,konnte es aber erst am 07.02.2021 installieren weil ich keine Zeit hatte, wobei mir dass erst aufgefallen ist.Auf meine Mail ob man da was machen kann,kriegte ich zu Antwort dass ja nichts doppelt gekauft wurde und es schon über die 30 Tage her ist.
Auf die Mail danach worin ich drauf hingewiesen habe das das MultiStyle PAK 1 in dem 49 PAK1 enhalten ist bekam ich keine Antwort.Nicht sehr kundenfreundlich.
Na ja was solls.Werd mir das nächste Upgrade reiflich überlegen.Hab in den letzten 11 Jahren fast 2500€ in das Programm gesteckt.
