With all the tracks in there now maybe more like a DAW or at least have some modular layouts that the user can move the elements around and save as a layout along with the skins.
It's just that a lot of the old 8.3 255 limitations are still there.
The more I type the more Déjà vu there is, "haven't I been here before ?"
This and other reasons that I'm sure you all know is why I would like a complete rewrite. Lets bring the entire program into the 21st century.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
