They are different in their approach and should not be judged against each other! I always learn something from listening to your tracks, the composition and the arrangements. I especially liked the phrasing where you used the chromatic descending pattern of IIIb7b5—>IV7b9 (I think that’s what I heard)...and I like the resolution to (I think) IIIMaj7. Thank you for sharing both versions so we can get a sense of you were thinking for each approach!
