Yes I think it is a bug. It doesn't make sense that the error code 256 says to check real tracks are correctly installed, then the non playing track will play if I close and reopen the file. So a little message to whoever programs the error messages, the flamin' tracks are there and have been all the time, so stop trying to tell me that I have made an error in installing the real tracks!

I hope this can be fixed because I like to use the sour note fix whenever I change or add tracks to a style. For example, some of the soloist tracks are too manic to be of any use, so I like to change them to something more in keeping with the rhythm of the style.

I use an iMac for most computer work. I purposefully bought a Windows PC to use BIAB and that is basically all the software I use. Is it typical for Windows software to be like BIAB, which seems to require continuous updates to fix problems?
