Deej, Nice romantic tune. Straight out, it reminded me of Ray Peterson "Tell Laura I Love Her". Vocal intonations? Subject? Production? In good way, I am a fan of R.Peterson  Solid write! Enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing. Misha.

Great intro that catches the interest immediately.
The start of the verse reminds me Elvis song Always On My Mind.
Beautiful chording reflects the emotions in the lyrics nicely. Interesting story, sad verses and chorus end in the positive "I'm all right now" feeling, although there's some uncertainty about it, because "You" is not personalized in any way and the word "somehow" at the end leaves the listener wondering.
Very enjoyable vocals once again. Very good band, the violin is an excellent choice and the guitar solo blends in nicely.

You always give us a great vocal, but this had everything - melody, lyrics and vocal - a great song needs. One of your very best for sure.

I'm always drawn to your vocals. You have a uniquely fabulous vocal talent - I love listening to you sing! But this song has it all. As previously mentioned, simple approach, excellent lyric, fabulous vocal, splendid arrangement and a great band.
I've been a professional guitarist for many, many years - got paid way too much (but that's OK!) for my talent. Don't sell yourself short ... your acoustic lead sounded just fine. - you even git in that 5th (augmented) note!
