Nothing to complain about in this song - it's all good! I think the drums give it plenty of drive, regardless of no "strong" lead instrument. It all works very nicely as is. You did and excellent job on this!

We like the contrast of the lyric and the laid back production.
It makes the message stand out even more.
Well sung, arranged and mixed. The banjo was a nice touch.

Yes...there's no need for a powerful message to be delivered in a bombastic package. The simpler instrumentation mixed with the sincerity and gravitas of your vocal worked very well...like it's coming from somebody who's lived through the process. Everything punched through nicely on my speakers.
