That is an average rate I suppose. Depends on age. My mother lives in a retirement residence, ages 70 and up live there. There was a breakout there a couple of months ago with 11 of the residents getting the virus. Of those 11, four of them died.


Unfortunately the elderly, especially those with preconditions, are very vulnerable. I pray your mother was a survivor. And yes we have to be extremely careful around the elderly, especially when they are in nursing homes and retirement homes. We have an elderly aunt in each but we are not going to see them until all is safe to do so.

Both my wife and I are over 70 and we both have asthma. We have placed our faith in God and the vaccine. Only time will tell if that is the right decision.
