I was thinking about taking a Jazz guitar course. But when I looked online at TruFyre for example, there were about 206 courses.
I already know how to read music and play guitar. I also know quite a bit about harmony theory. I know basic scales but not the more exotic ones. So I don't need a "show-and-tell" course really. Just something to get jump started in progressions, chord melody, and improv. Something for someone who is already playing rock, blues, country, folk, etc.
I am the type that will practice as long as the relevance of the material is apparent and as long as there is some fun involved.
What one course would you recommend?
Thanks.
Michael

I've tried both Berklee and Jimmy Bruno. Both have their benefits. Neither was for me.
I like Jens Larsen. Good Site. Lots of free material. Just created a course.
I use his site ad hoc and support via Patreon. A few added bene's.
Jens is very knowledgeable about theory and technique. Sometimes the analytics is overwhelming but a lot of jazz guys seem to dig all that. He can play the guitar and knows how to teach.

I learned Kenny Burrell's "Midnight Blue" from Sandra Sherman's Youtube site. She has a nice lesson on it
Its not a hard tune but the fingering is tricky to get it to sound like Burrell. Her work gives a very respectable take on the head. From there its more practice than you might think to make it sound cool.
She does a real fine job.
That album is a must for any guitar player.
