You appear to have several problems here. Given that the BIAB-VST works very nicely for my workflow (at least last time I worked with it) let me try to clarify.

First, the BIAB-VST does not open .mid files. Not a designed feature. It is likely assumed that if you are in your DAW, then your DAW can open and play these files.

1, 2) Regarding the "opened this file in reaper". I assume you mean the .mgx file from BIAB. There is another thread right now in the forum reporting that the .mgx file from BIAB is not opening correctly in the BIAB-VST. I have not had this problem in the past, but perhaps something has changed which broke the workflow?? I will check this out later today and get back to you.

3) Never seen this happen. You need to verify that both BIAB and the BIAB-VST are looking at the same files (confirm file path names are identical). This was suggested in the other thread I mentioned. Also, verify that the tempo is the same. BIAB and the BIAB-VST may select different RTs based on tempo.

4) Have not seen this issue for a long long time. Let me play around with it today.
