my take on the crazy songwriting "bug" i have had all my life.
(and i'm NOT saying i'm good at it. i just love doing songs.)

i went through a period of self doubt/researching every songwriting tip and method and trick and course etc etc ; BUT i found i was gradually becoming more and more unhappy and hemmed in by all the rules etc etc. once i ditched it all and decided to just "keep myself happy" and do songs that i enjoyed; all my creativity returned.
thus i felt "free".
if other people end up hateing my songs. thats their prerogative.
otoh if people like them thats just grrrreat.
but i gave up worrying bout it years ago. because i think it can drive a song creator nuts.
