I'll be surprised if such a feature is easy / practical to implement.

BiaB needs the correct resources to be available when the program starts. If they are not available, the program potentially has two options:

1: Crash
2: Revert to some default setting.

Adding those necessary resources after starting the program is something I (and probably the developers) would never consider.

Can you explain why you need to add the external drive after the program has started? Is this because of a critical timing function, or perhaps because you hadn't remember to connect it previously?
