RØDE makes many mics. Some are great. Others have headbaskets and capsule designs that make them overly sensitive to sibilance. Yea, that's poor design no matter how many are sold.

Mic mod kits and DIY instructions to correct these deficiencies are easy to find.

Actually, he said you need a de-esser.

My comment was on the "need" for de-essers when he was holding two mics particularly known for needing them. Many other mics do not with most singers.

One of my favorite mics is my RØDE NT3.
