Depending on the style you are using and depending on if you want the guitar to be the only instrument playing at that instance, you will have to make some changes using the F5 function.
In the example: This will silence everything except the guitar for measure 1, beat 1 and will resume all instruments playing on measure 2.
Adjust as necessary.
