I play a kind of fusion between Flamenco and jazz. I can record a nice track of music but am stumped with going further. Although I have recorded many tracks with a metronome click in my ear and sometimes with drums my best music is with no distractions.

I think just a simple bass and brushes with castanets would work best. I would like to have an intro, an A section, a B section back to A and then a finish. I heard about the f8 key for tapping out the bars and tried it but had a train wreck. Probably not doing it correctly. I tried starting on bar 1 but couldn't tell if everything was lining up. I am getting frustrated with all the bad choices there are in styles for my kind of music. Paco De Lucia is the closest model to what I am trying to do. Any sympathetic ears out there that might offer direction in using BIAB and RB? So far the first successful RB/BIAB piece I did was a lucky hit on style that was close. I recorded in RB and then edited out anything I didn't love bringing it down from 7 minutes to about 3 1/2 minutes. Then I saved it and opened in BIAB and did the chord wizard. I picked one of the jazz with real brushes styles and then saved it and opened in RB at which point I mixed it. I finished it off with a boost in the 100HZ range of 2 db at the suggestion of an engineer friend. It now resides in my finished file.

Now I want to get a little more adventurous by creating a beginning, end and several middle parts. When that is done I will want to add embellishments. Long story short, this is as far as I've gotten and am looking forward to improving what I do and what I get out of using BIAB and RB in my work. Your Thoughts?
