I don't really understand your post. You're talking about using the Audio Chord Wizard on a track that you played yourself so presumably you already know the chords, no? The main reason to use the ACW is to help you figure out the chords in an audio track. Are you deliberately playing a track with a lot of tempo changes in it? The ACW can create a tempo map for you but I've not had too much luck with that and I would use Real Band for the recording anyway. You can write a tempo map in Real Band but here's where things can get tricky if you're trying to use Real Tracks or Real Drums. Those are audio files and the tempo map may not work properly with them. Keeping it strictly midi however, you can do whatever you want.
As for the styles, don't be locked into the PG ones. Those are good but in many cases don't really fit what someone is trying to do. Get into the Stylemaker and create your own styles. Start with the closest one you can find and open it up to see how it was put together and start modifying it. Another thing you can try is to google your favorite players as midi files. You may find a good midi file that has the type of background rhythm tracks you're looking for. Those you would use Real Band. I've posted several detailed explanations of how RB works just this last week. Do a forum search using my user name and you can pull them up.
