I found this on the M audio site: So he's using the Vista 64 bit driver.

Audiophile 2496 working on Windows 7 RC 64-bit

I got this working no problems at all ... I downloaded the vista 64 SP1 exe file (Delta_V64_5.10.00.5069v3.exe) & ran it. I got the usual "not compatible" statement from M-Audio, got "kicked-out" then I chose the option given by Windows 7 to re-try with recommended settings.
I did this, the software installed, the system shut down, as requested, I restarted it, then went into control panel & chose "hardware & Sounds", then "manage audio devices".
I then chose "Line 1/2" right-clicked on it & set it as my default device ... job done !
So simple & no issues.
I wish you all many happy hours of sound processing.
Best Wishes
Ken
