Hello Chetforce,
The VSC (stand-alone version) does not work on Vista. The VSC DXi version does work on Vista 32-bit, but not on Vista 64-bit. If you are using a VSC-DXi installer from an old CD, you would need to set it to WinXP compatibility mode to be able to install it (on Vista 32). To do this, right-click on it, select Properties, and click the Compatibility tab to change the settings there.
