This seems weird to me. I bought some sheet music that has some quarter note triplets. After I imported the midi for the melody in BIAB, the triplets was shown as 2 eighth notes followed by a quarter note. I looked in Help and see no reference to tuplets. I realize that the number of beats is correct, but triplets have their own rhythm pattern. Will I have to just import the melody midi file into my DAW or what? I'm hoping that I can get everything to fit together correctly. Thanks for any help/suggestions.
In the editable notation mode, you can select a triplet feel, even if for only two beats. You can also edit the ppq parts per quarter note length of each note to make the notation work.
I would need to be at a computer to give better instructions.

Many thanks for the help; I'll give it a try. I imported the midi melody into Cakewalk and the triplets sound like they are supposed to. So, that can be another option.
Try changing the style to SWING. That will give you triplets. Or change the notation to swing (in notation Options>Triplet Resolution {top of leftmost column})
None of these will change your underlying melody, just the "band" or the visible notation.

'Notation Window Options / Tick Offset' does have some impact on the final notation result. Playing with this setting may get you to second base in case of otherwise inexplicable trouble.
