When inputting chords, you can select each beat (up to 4 beats) by separating the chords with a comma in each half of the bar. E.g. to enter 4 different chords in a single bar, enter:
F,G in the left-hand cell and A,B in the right-hand cell. Result below.

Is this what you are referring to, or something different?
